One of the world’s leading contemporary photojournalists, Gideon Mendel has visited countries around the globe subjected to large-scale flooding. Somerset House presents an exhibition of his unique portraits of flood victims.

Over many years, Mendel has travelled to Haiti, India, Pakistan, Australia and the UK to record and tell the stories of lives changed by devastating climatic events.

Timed to coincide with the development of Climate Refugees The Opera, a 2013 World Stages London production, this exhibition highlights the impact of climate change on communities across the world.
